ALERT! Berks County South Campus Closed Monday, October 5: The Berks County South Campus will be closed to staff and the public on Monday, October 5, to complete a scheduled electrical utility project. The South Campus Building will be without power from 8 am to 5 pm while Met-Ed conducts this work. For safety reasons, no one will be permitted to enter or access the South Campus building for any reason between 8 am to 5 pm on October 5.

The County appreciates the public’s understanding and apologizes for any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause.

Tours for the Gruber Wagon Works & C. Howard Hiester Canal Center

Admission fees for Tours of the Gruber Wagon Works:

  • Adults (19 - 59): $8.00
  • Seniors (60+): $7.00
  • Students (7 - 18): $6.00
  • Children 6 and under:  Free
    • Military Veterans and Active Service Members receive Free admission along with free admission for up to three family members.

Admission to C. Howard Hiester Canal Center: 

  • Suggested donation of $2.00/person or included with admission to Gruber Wagon Works

Group Tour Rate (Groups of 12 or more with advanced registration):

  • Adults: $5.00
  • Students: $3.00
