The Reading Area Transportation Study is the designated metropolitan planning organization (MPO) for transportation in Berks County. Above is the official schedule of meetings for both the Technical Committee and the Coordinating Committee. As they are prepared and approved, links to meeting agendas and minutes will be added above next to the date of the meeting (translatable into multiple languages) and below (in Adobe .PDF format).
All meetings begin at the times noted above. All Technical Committee meetings (except Joint meetings) will be conducted virtually using Microsoft Teams and YouTube. All Coordinating Committee and Joint meetings will be conducted as Hybrid meetings in-person at the Commissioner’s Board Room, 13th Floor, Berks County Services Center, 633 Court Street, Reading, PA 19601 and via Microsoft Teams and YouTube. Details on how to participate in these meetings either online or via phone will be posted to the Berks County Planning Commission web page prior to the meeting. Links to the meeting agenda, materials to be discussed and how to provide comments either before or during the meeting will also be posted to the link above.
It is the policy (POLÍTICA DE NO DISCRIMINACIÓN) of the Reading Area Transportation Study (RATS), the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for transportation planning in Berks County, in accordance with federal nondiscrimination statutes, to ensure that "no person shall, on the basis of race, color, national origin, income, gender, gender identity, age, religious preference, creed, or disability be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity" for which the MPO receives Federal financial assistance. Furthermore, it shall be the policy of the MPO to ensure that as a recipient of Federal-aid funding, it will ensure nondiscrimination in all its programs and activities whether Federally funded or not. The MPO is steadfast in its commitment to ensure the uniform adoption of this policy.
