Suzanne M. Myers was sworn in as Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans’ Court by Common Pleas Court Judge Tina M. Boyd on January 9, 2023, following the resignation of Larry Medaglia who accepted the position of Deputy Chief Operations Officer for the County of Berks.  Suzanne has worked in the office of Register of Wills for more than 35 years, starting in 1988.  She quickly became Office Manager shortly after she was hired, and served in that capacity until Medaglia named her as his Chief Deputy in January of 2000. 

Recognized for her deep knowledge of the probate and estate administration process, Register of Wills Myers has been a panelist at numerous Berks County Bar Association seminars, as well as a presenter at the Berks County Association of Legal Support Staff.  Suzanne leads an experienced team with a reputation for professional, compassionate, and efficient delivery of service to the residents of Berks County. 

Suzanne is a daughter of Ruth M. and the late Reverend David L. Burkhart.  She lives in Muhlenberg Township with her husband, James R. Myers.  Suzanne has one son, Jonathan Potts Myers, a recent graduate of Temple University.  Suzanne is a member of the Virginville Grange, where she volunteers her time and energy.
