Marriage License Application Process
(please complete all steps)
All Marriage License Applications are completed electronically through our online Portal. All appointments are done virtually via Microsoft Teams.
Your application can be submitted any time prior to your marriage, it will remain in our system indefinitely.
Step 1. Submit your application in the Marriage License Portal:
- Login as Guest-you do not need to create a Username and Password
- Accept Disclaimer
- E-file Marriage License Application and Continue
- Enter all information for both Applicants and “Submit to County” button
- License reprints are subject to a $15.00 fee

Step 2. Schedule your wedding date with an officiant:
- Can be a Judge, Minister, Priest, etc. You must have a confirmed wedding date and officiant before scheduling your virtual appointment.
- License is valid only in Pennsylvania.
- CEREMONIES ARE NOT PERFORMED ON SITE.

Step 3. Schedule your virtual appointment through the Virtual Booking link.
Appointments are scheduled Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
For your virtual appointment we will need the following:
- Valid Photo ID for both parties
- If previously married, you will need to provide a printed Divorce Decree or Death Certificate in English
- Social Security Numbers-the card is not necessary
- If non-U.S. Citizen - a notarized Marriage Affidavit is required
- Payment of $65 via Visa/Mastercard is due at the time of your virtual appointment
Your license is issued after your virtual appointment
- Please schedule your appointment accordingly: the license will be valid on the 3rd day after your virtual meeting and will remain valid for 60 days from the issue date
- If you fail to get married within the 60-day time period-your license will expire, and you will have to repeat the process and the $65 will be required again
- If you cannot speak English, a third-party translator (18+) must join the video conference
