The Berks County Probation & Parole Office is committed to the reduction of recidivism through the encouragement of positive behavioral change. Our goal is to foster an inclusive and diverse environment that treats everyone with impartiality, dignity, and respect. We strive toward accountability and empowerment by recognizing the importance of its impact on the community.


About Us

Since our founding in 1920, the Berks County Adult Probation & Parole department has been committed to the reduction of recidivism through court order supervision, treatment, and cognitive behavioral restructuring. We provide these services to over 5,000 individuals throughout Berks County. With a population of over 400,000, Berks County is home to the 4th largest city in Pennsylvania, Reading, and its over 95,000 residents as well as the Berks County Probation & Parole Offices.

Berks County Adult Probation & Parole employs 12 administrators as well as over 70 officers and support staff members.

Office Status
The County of Berks offices and services are currently open.
In Person Limit Request
For the safety and well-being of our staff and residents, individuals that need to come to the County offices are asked to come with the least number of companions possible.
COVID 19-Experiencing Symptoms?
Please call your probation officer before coming into the office.  If you do not receive a response from your probation officer, please call our front desk and ask to speak with someone.
