Child Pornography Arrests
DEFENDANTS: Adam Weinsteiger (29 years of age)
Reading, Pennsylvania 19606
Edwin M. Gual (48 years of age)
Reading, PA 19602
Victor Batista-Sanchez (20 years of age)
Bronx, NY 10472
(formerly of Reading, PA 19601)

CHARGES: Sexual Abuse of Children related to the Dissemination and/or
Possession of Child Pornography.
DETAILS OF INCIDENT:
Between May and September of 2022, the Berks County Detective’s Office received three (3) separate referrals from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (N.C.M.E.C.), involving Child Pornography file sharing utilizing various internet/web applications.
As a result of the foregoing, the Berks County Detectives initiated three separate criminal investigations. These investigations ultimately linked the defendants to the specific internet/web accounts being utilized to file share in child pornography.
The Berks County Detective’s Office executed Search Warrants at the residences of each defendant. As a result of these search warrants, electronic device(s) were seized from each location. A forensic analysis conducted on the electronic item(s) seized from theses residences resulted in the recovery of numerous digital files (images and videos) of child pornography.

Adam Weinsteiger Arrest
On Monday, August 21, 2023, Adam Weinsteiger was charged with one (1) count of Sexual Abuse of Children related to the Possession of Child Pornography as well as one (1) count of Criminal Use of a Communications Facility.
On Tuesday, August 22, 2023, Weinsteiger surrendered to members of the Berks County Detectives. He was arraigned on these charges by Magisterial District Judge Sandra L. Fegley. His bail was set at $50,000. He was fingerprinted and photographed.
Edwin Gual Arrest
On Monday, August 21, 2023, Edwin M. Gual was charged with one (1) count of Sexual Abuse of Children related to the Possession of Child Pornography.
On Tuesday, August 22, 2023, Gual was arrested by members of the Berks County Detectives. He taken to the Central Processing Center located at the Berks County Courthouse and was arraigned on these charges by Magisterial District Judge Carissa Johnson. His bail was set at $100,000. He was fingerprinted and photographed.
Victor Batista-Sanchez Arrest
On Monday, August 21, 2023, Victor Batista-Sanchez was charged with one (1) count of Sexual Abuse of Children related to the Possession of Child Pornography, one (1) count of Sexual Abuse of Children related to the Dissemination of Child Pornography, and (1) count of Criminal Use of a Communications Facility.
On Tuesday, August 22, 2023, Batista-Sanchez surrendered to members of the Berks County Detectives. He was arraigned on these charges by Magisterial District Judge Priscilla Campos. Bail was set at $5,000. He will be fingerprinted and photographed.
A Criminal Complaint is an accusation. Each of these defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
