Inmate Banking/Deposit To Account
Inmate Banking/Deposit To Account
Deposit to their account from your home computer by accessing https://web.connectnetwork.com or by calling 1-888-988-4768, using Site ID # 61.
We will accept government checks, payroll checks (stub included) and money orders that are mailed directly to the inmate accounts department. Money orders must include inmate name, inmate number and purchaser’s name and address or they will not be accepted. You are not allowed to include any personal letters, notes or photos; should you do so, they will be destroyed.
The advantages of the automated system are:
- Convenience of making a deposit to the inmate’s account without having to leave home.
- Receipts are provided for each transaction.
- The inmate will have access to his/her money quicker than if they had to wait for a Western Union deposit or to receive funds through the mail. All funds post on the next business day (excluding holidays).
- You no longer have to purchase money orders for the inmate.
You will need to know the correct spelling of the inmate’s name and his/her current booking number; this may not be the same as their inmate number.
The maximum you are allowed to deposit in one transaction is $300.00.
You will have the option of the funds being deposited onto one of two accounts:
- The inmate’s Commissary Account (Trust Fund Account), so they can pay their processing fee, make phone calls, order commissary, purchase a haircut, etc.
- The inmate’s Inmate Telephone Account; which will only allow them to make collect phone calls. In order to make a deposit to an Inmate Telephone account, this account must have already been set up with the company providing inmate telephone services.
The fees for deposits are listed below:
Cash Transactions | $5.00 - $300.00 | $2.50 |
Credit Card Transactions | $0.00 - $50.00 | $4.00 |
Credit Card Transactions | $50.01 - $100.00 | $5.50 |
Credit Card Transactions | $100.01 - $200.00 | $8.50 |
Credit Card Transactions | $200.01 - $300.00 | $11.50 |
For example, if you deposit $40.00 via a credit card transaction, $36.00 will be applied to the inmate’s account.
Fifty Percent (50%) of all incoming deposits will be applied towards the inmate's processing fee or past cost recovery owed.
If you would like to add funds for an inmate to use towards purchases on their tablets, you must access a separate website to do so: www.gettingout.com. Any funds added here will ONLY be for tablet usage and cannot be transferred to the inmate's trust fund discussed above.
