Impact Of Crime Class
Impact Of Crime Class
Juveniles who commit crimes involving victims can be court-ordered to attend the Impact of Crime (IOC) class. This class is taught by facilitators trained in a statewide Impact of Crime curriculum. Juveniles are instructed in the Balanced and Restorative Justice concept, victim empathy, how to write a proper apology letter, and the types of feelings and emotions their victims may experience. They are also taught how the crime they committed affects not only their victim, but the community and the juvenile's family as well.
