The Berks County Natural Heritage Inventory Update 2014 provides information on animal and plant species of concern, as well as outstanding natural/geologic features.  The update replaces the Berks County Natural Areas Inventory of 1991.  The updated report provides maps of the habitats where the known locations of animal and plant species of concern are found in the county.  A written description and summary table of each of the sites, including quality and degree of rarity are included.  An interactive map is available on the Pennsylvania Natural Heritage Program website, as well as the Berks County Natural Heritage Inventory Update 2014 document (found in the link below).
