Established under the federal SAFETEA-LU transportation authorization act of 2005, the coordinated plan serves as a regional planning tool designed to guide investment of limited resources in order to improve transportation services and travel mobility options for senior citizens and persons with disabilities under the Federal Transit Administration's Section 5310 funding program.
