Transfer Out Supervision
The Berks County Probation and Parole Transfer Out Supervision Unit is charged with the supervision of offenders sentenced in Berks County but currently do not reside in Berks County.
Inter-County Transfers
If you are sentenced to probation or parole in the County of Berks but currently live in or wish to reside in another county in the Commonwealth, your case must be officially transferred through the inter-county transfer process. This process is completed in the Berks County Probation and Parole Office by appointment only. Individuals awaiting a decision on their transfer acceptance must continue to report to Berks County Probation and Parole.
Inter-State Transfers
Individuals who are residents of another state at the time of sentencing or wish to move to another state while on supervision must submit an application to the Interstate Commission for Adult Offender Supervision (ICAOS) through the Berks County Probation and Parole Department. Transfer and acceptance of the case is based on a variety of factors. Please contact your probation/parole officer to discuss any transfer request.
All transfers are subject to approval by both the sending and receiving agency. Individuals who are granted transfer out supervision are subject to applicable rules and supervision fees in the county or state in which they are being supervised. If there are any violations of supervision your case will be returned to Berks County for any further court action.
