The Berks County Recorder of Deeds Office offers a tool to Berks County property owners to become involved in combating fraud.   This tool is named FraudSleuth.

Property owners can create profile(s) through our Online Services and receive email alerts if a document is recorded at our office matching the information contained in their profile.  When creating their profile, we encourage users to include their property Parcel Identification Number as it is a unique identifier to their property and to also include their names and addresses under search criteria. 

FraudSleuth is not a preventative/pro-active service; it will send an email only after a document has been recorded containing the same information as listed in your profile.

Together, constituents and the Berks County Recorder of Deeds office are taking steps to fight fraud.
